Product introduction of Abrasive sand black silicon carbide 80# for sanding disc
Abrasive sand black silicon carbide 80# for sanding disc is for applications on hard substrate such as ceramics, granite, concrete, glass and hard metals. The black silicon carbide micro hardness is 2840-3320HV. The mohs hardness is 9.2-9.3. It’s harder than aluminum oxide material and get a little lower toughness. Black silicon carbide is not so hard as green silicon carbide but it gains a better price. Sanding disc made from black silion carbide can make an aggressive grinding on marble, jade jewelly, hard metals& alloy, etc.

Product Feature of Abrasive sand black silicon carbide 80# for sanding disc
- High purity, the purity of black silicon carbide after pickling can reach 99%. The production process of black silicon carbide powder is hydraulic classification, with less impurities and high purity.
- Superior oxidation resistance and chemical stability: when heated to 1000 ℃ in the air, silicon carbide only oxidizes on the surface, forming a layer of silicon dioxide film, which can protect silicon carbide material from oxidation. When heated to above 1627 ℃, the oxidation resistance of silicon carbide will decline rapidly.
- High hardness: Mohs hardness of black silicon carbide is 9.2-9.3, slightly lower than that of green silicon carbide.
- The toughness of black silicon carbide is higher than that of green silicon carbide.
- The packing density is high, and the black silicon carbide particles produced by the shaping process are more rounded.
- It has high cleanliness and is washed twice after crushing, reducing the dust in the abrasive.
Application of Abrasive sand black silicon carbide:
- Silicon carbide fiber disc.
- Whetstone, abrasive brick, abrasive rob, abrasive segment.
- Resin bonded silicon carbide abrasive grinding wheels.
- Vitrified bonded silicon carbide abrasive mounted-point, cup wheel, bowl wheel, etc.
- Sanding wheel and sanding sheet for ceramic tiles and granite, etc.
- Silicon carbide abrasive brushes.
- Other bonded abrasive tools.
