Black carborundum powder 325mesh

Black carborundum powder 325mesh is made by smelting quartz sand, anthracite, and sawdust in a resistance furnace at a high temperature (about 2700 degrees). Black carborundum is its other name. Black silicon carbide is fragile and sharp with high hardness. Black silicon carbide powder is also a superior refractory material with high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion rate, excellent thermal shock resistance, and corrosion resistance chemical stability. Black SiC is commonly used in refractory fillers, refractory brick castables, and other metallurgical fields.

Product Feature of Black carborundum powder 325mesh

  1. Good wear resistance and wear resistance. Black silicon carbide itself is a good wear-resistant medium. It can not only withstand the erosion of flowing high-temperature molten iron in the field of refractory materials, but also has high high-temperature thermal shock resistance. The Vickers hardness of silicon carbide at room temperature is 3100-3200kg/mm2. Moreover, the hardness only slightly decreases at high temperatures. Even at 1200 degrees Celsius, it can still maintain a microhardness of 950-1000kg/mm2.
  2. The refractory temperature is high. The melting point of black silicon carbide is 2600 ℃. It is free at a high temperature of 2300 ℃, with a working temperature of up to 1850 ° C. It can maintain good high-temperature and physicochemical properties at a high temperature of 1600 ℃.
  3. Oxidation resistance: When the silicon carbide casting material is within 1400 ℃, a silicon dioxide film will be formed on the outside of the particles to prevent further oxidation of silicon carbide. Refractory products made from Silicon carbide can resist the erosion of oxidizing media such as oxygen and water vapor.
  4. Corrosion resistance. Silicon carbide has excellent acid and alkali resistance. It can effectively resist the erosion of corrosive substances such as slag and metal oxides.
  5. High thermal conductivity. Silicon carbide has good thermal conductivity. The heat inside the furnace can be evenly distributed and quickly transmitted, improving the thermal efficiency of furnace equipment.

FAQ:

Q: Are you a manufacturer?

A: We are a manufacturer of both black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide materials. We began to produce silicon carbide powder since 1999.

Q: What grade of silicon carbide do you have?

A: We have several grades of silicon carbide powder including refractory grade, abrasive grade, etc.

Q: How will you check silicon carbide quality before delivery?

A: We will check the chemical composition and cleanness of the carborundum grain and powder. And inspect the gradation, bulk density of SiC grain and powder.

Q: Do you support third-party quality inspection?

A: Yes, we are open to getting a third-party quality test before delivery.

Q: Is the silicon carbide you supply reclaimed material?

A: No. We do the melting process by ourselves and don’t have reclaimed silicon carbide.

Q: What is the HS code of silicon carbide abrasive powder?

A: The HS code is 2849200000.

Q: Is there any restriction to export silicon carbide from China?

A: Yes, it needs to provide an export license to Chinese customs. We could provide it and make customs clearance in China.

Q: Are free samples available?

A: Yes, we provide free samples within 1 kg. Customers only need to bear the logistic cost.

Q: What is your annual capacity?

A: Our capacity is 1800-2000MT per month, annually appr. 22000 MT.
