GC Abrasive Powder characteristics and applications

GC Abrasive Powder characteristics and applications

GC Abrasive Powder refers to green carborundum powder with a grit size of 240mesh -10000 mesh. It is a popular grinding material, ceramic raw material, and wear-resistant material. Green silicon carbide is a special material obtained by high-temperature smelting of petroleum coke, silica sand, and coke with wood chips and table salt. GC Abrasive powder is a fine particle obtained by crushing, grinding, acid washing, overflow grading, and drying large blocks of green silicon carbide.
Due to its excellent characteristics, it works excellently in applications such as national defense, aerospace, electronics, chemical metallurgy, and automobiles.

Characteristics of GC Abrasive Powder:
1. GC Abrasive Powder has high hardness, high wear resistance, and high wear resistance coefficient. The hardness of green silicon carbide ranks behind diamond and higher than other non-metallic and metallic materials.
2. Green silicon carbide abrasive powder has superior high-temperature resistance, can withstand high temperatures of 2000 degrees, and maintains stable mechanical and physicochemical properties.
3. Green SiC powder has strong corrosion resistance and will not undergo chemical reactions when encountering most acidic and alkaline substances.
4. GC Abrasive powder also has good self-sharpening properties, especially for excellent grinding effects on stone and non-ferrous metals.
5. GC abrasive powder has good fluidity, high SiC purity, and few impurities.
GC Abrasive Powder Purpose:
1. Ceramic field:
Used for producing advanced silicon carbide ceramics. GC grits such as 240#,4000 #, 80 #, 120 #, etc. are mostly as raw materials to produce advanced silicon carbide ceramics. The production of silicon carbide ceramic products is extensive, such as silicon carbide filter screens and crucibles used in metallurgy, silicon carbide ceramic membranes used in diesel vehicle exhaust treatment, silicon carbide ceramic membrane tubes used in environmental protection facilities, silicon carbide wear-resistant plates mixed with boron carbide, bulletproof plates, silicon carbide rods and plates used in kiln equipment, and silicon carbide ceramic nozzles used in the petrochemical and power industries Silicon carbide ceramic components used in the aerospace field.
2. Abrasive field:
The use of GC Abrasive Powder in the grinding field is abrasives and direct grinding. Grinding products made of GC abrasives are for grinding ceramics, glass, stone, and hard metals. The product categories are also very wide, such as grinding wheels, polishing blocks, grinding wheels, elastic grinding tools, diamond grinding wheels, etc. Green silicon carbide micro powder is mainly used for direct grinding of optical glass, jade jewelry, hard alloys, and other materials, in the forms of micro sandblasting, double-sided grinding discs, wire cutting, etc.
3. Wear resistance field:
GC powder has a higher wear resistance than black silicon carbide. It is a good additive to coatings, modified plastics, and composite alloys. Not only can it improve the wear resistance of the product, but it can also enhance its heat resistance, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, compression resistance, and other properties. Anti-corrosion coatings, adhesives, brake discs, and special plastics are all directions for the application of green silicon carbide micro powder.
