Black silicon carbide sand P24-P180 for sanding fiber disc
Black silicon carbide sand is an artificial abrasive grit for coated abrasives. Sanding fiber disc with SiC abrasive is suitble for stainless steel deburring, alloy and wood surface cleaning,etc. But not all black silicon carbide is qualified for this application. High cleanness and low conductivity of Black silicon carbide P24-P180 is very important for electrostatic sand-planting process.
There are some factors of silicon carbide sand quality for fiber disc:
- High cleanness. Acid and water washing are important production step to gain SiC sand without dust.
- Low conductivity. The suspenstion treatment can make sure the conductivity less than 100 ppm.
- Proper bulk density. The bulk density should match the voltage of sand-planting.
- Grain shape. Uniform SiC size and shape are helpful for the sand-planting.
