Silicon carbide particle and powder for SiC ceramics
Silicon carbide particles and powders are the main materials to produce various silicon carbide ceramic products. Such as silicon carbide ceramic films, SiC high-temperature kiln furniture, silicon carbide pump bodies, filter screens, and so on. Silicon carbide ceramics for filtration are widely used in waste gas and wastewater filtration and casting filtration ceramics in the iron and steel industry.
Filter ceramics made of silicon carbide have excellent bending resistance, high-temperature corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and wear resistance. Its superior thermodynamic properties make it an outstanding ceramic component.
Both black and green silicon carbide can be used as raw materials for silicon carbide ceramics. There are many specifications of silicon carbide particle powders used. For example, black silicon carbide particles 1-2mm, F14, F16, F46; Black silicon carbide powder 40 microns, 30 microns, 3.5 microns; Green silicon carbide grain F46, F60, F80, F100, F120; Green silicon carbide powder with 800 mesh, 1200 mesh, 4000 mesh, etc. But they all have the advantages of silicon carbide materials:
1. Strong high-temperature resistance.
2. It has excellent high-temperature bending strength and high-temperature creep resistance.
3. Low coefficient of thermal expansion.
4. High hardness and wear resistance. Low friction coefficient.
5. Strong chemical stability at high temperatures.
6. Excellent alumina resistance.
Silicon carbide ceramics are usually made by mixing silicon carbide aggregates and fillers in a certain proportion to produce ceramic embryos. Then it is sintered by pressureless sintering and other methods. This SiC ceramic component can maintain stable performance at a high temperature of 1700 degrees Celsius, exhibiting excellent performance and good economic benefits.
