Black Silicon Carbide 60/90 Grit Rock Tumbling Polishing Media

Black Silicon Carbide 60/90 Grit – High-efficiency Coarse Grinding Tumbling Media for Raw Stone Shaping. It’s the first step for the rock & pebble stone polishing.

Black Silicon Carbide 60/90 grit serves as professional rock tumbling polishing media tailored for rough grinding and shaping all kinds of hard stones, jade, agate, crystal and mineral specimens. Featuring ultra-high hardness, sharp cutting edges and stable self-sharpening performance, this silicon carbide abrasive efficiently removes rough outer skin, deep scratches, bumps and irregular contours on raw stones in the coarse grinding stage. The mixed 60/90 dual grit formula balances fast stock removal and uniform surface texture; coarser 60 grit delivers powerful cutting for heavy shaping work, while 90 grit refines surface marks to shorten subsequent medium and fine grinding procedures. Chemically inert and free of free iron contaminants, it will not leave dark stains or discoloration on light-colored jade, crystal and translucent gemstones, effectively protecting the original color and luster of rocks. With moderate particle toughness, it does not break down into excessive fine dust during long-cycle tumbling, extending service life and lowering overall processing costs. Widely used in rotary rock tumblers and vibration polishing barrels for rough shaping of jade, agate, quartz, obsidian and decorative mineral stones, it is the ideal coarse grinding media for rock tumbling workshops and jewelry processing factories.

Features:

  • High hardness & sharp cutting edges, fast removal of stone rough surfaces and uneven edges
  • 60/90 mixed grit balances high grinding efficiency and uniform surface finish
  • Iron-free composition, no staining or discoloration on light jade and crystal
  • Good particle toughness, low pulverization rate, long recycling service life
  • Ideal coarse stage media for tumbling jade, agate, quartz and various mineral rocks
