Green SiC Micro Powder

Green SiC Micro Powder always produced by jet milling process, ball milling process, and water pickled process. Although they have all gone through the acid-washed process, the Green SiC Micro Powder made by water sieving process is better.

 

  1. Application:

The main purpose of silicon carbide micro powder is precision grinding and polishing. The requirements for particle size distribution are relatively high. The uniform particle size of green silicon carbide micro powder has no large particles and will not cause scratches on the surface of the workpiece. While the milled powder is suitable for the Production of abrasive products, high-temperature resistant materials, building materials, etc.

 

  1. Particle size range:

The particles of Micro Powder are sub-micron, and the finest grit up to JIS10000#. While green silicon carbide powder made by milling process with 99% SiC purity only could be 220 mesh or 240 mesh. Finer milled powder has a wide particle size range, and the D50 value has a large deviation.

 

  1. SiC purity:

The purity of Green Carborundum Micro powder is generally more than 99% of SiC, and the content of free carbon is very low. The purity of milled powder is also lower such as  SiC 97% and SiC 95%.

Green Silicon carbide micro-powder is a high-grade abrasive powder in the surface treatment industry such as lens polishing, precise polishing, etc. The raw material is from the central part with the better reaction range in the furnace body, and the output is lower. Therefore, the price of green silicon carbide micro powder is much higher than that of ordinary silicon carbide powder.
