The SiC purity of green silicon carbide (99%) is higher than that of black silicon carbide (98%). In the meantime, hardness is also higher than that of black silicon carbide. The microhardness of green silicon carbide is 3280-3400kg/mm2 (32-34Gpa). While the microhardness of black silicon carbide is 2840-3320kg/mm2 (28-33gpa). Following the principle of grinding low-hardness materials with high-hardness materials, the grinding effect of green carborundum powder on SiC ceramic parts is obvious. It will get good grinding efficiency.
