How carborundum powder work for coatings

In many industries such as construction, petrochemical, high-temperature materials, and energy industries, many products need to achieve corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and wear resistance. Carborundum material (SiC) has strong chemical stability and will not react with strong acids, especially since the chemical properties are very stable at high temperatures. Silicon carbide materials are also excellent in high-temperature resistance, with a maximum operating temperature of 1800-1900 degrees Celsius.

Stable thermodynamic performance, low thermal expansion coefficient (under 0-1600 ℃): black carborundum 3.9-4.5 x10-6/ ℃; green carborundum 7-9 x10-6/ ℃.

High hardness and erosion resistance: Mohs hardness of black carborundum is 9.2-9.3; Mons hardness of green carborundum is 9.4-9.5. That can enhance the wear resistance of the anticorrosive coating.

The carborundum micron powder produced by Haixu Abrasives is uniform and high in purity. The raw materials produced are high-quality silica, petroleum coke, wood chips, and other raw materials smelted in large-scale resistance furnaces. That is very different from products made from recycled abrasives on the market. Haixu Carborundm powder is produced by pickling and hydraulic classification.
